Spooky Chills and Fun with Halloween Activities in Park City

Have a “howling good time” at Halloween in Park City! There are lots of activities and events for everyone of any age.

 Howl-O-Ween! On Main Street

A local favorite is the Howl-O-Ween! On Main Street. You’ll find trick or treating for the kids along with the famous Park City Dog Parade that goes down Historic Main Street.

Halloween on Historic Park City's Main Street was named one of the top Halloween celebrations in the country by Travel and Leisure magazine! This celebration combines two and four-legged costumed creatures with gourmet treats and maybe a few tricks creating a one-of-a-kind celebration.

The dog “paw-ty” and parade begins at 5 p.m. at the Post office and heads down Main Street toward the Trolley Turnaround. Kids can visit local merchants to get their sweet tasty treats.  

 Sleep Hollow Haunted Wagon Rides

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow comes to Soldier Hollow with this wonderfully spooky horse drawn wagon ride. Hosted by Rocky Mountain Outfitters the ride runs through October 31 on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

1413669769You’ll take a wagon ride through the woods of foothills while listening to an audio narration of the Legend of Sleep Hollow. You’ll ride past scenes and props such as a replica cemetery and hanging ghosts in the trees. After the ride, pick out the perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

This ride is appropriate and entertaining for all ages. The price is $20/person.

Come out and enjoy the chills of the original vampire tale.

Monday, October 25

The Kimball Art Center hosts Mud Monsters for Tots from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students create ghosts, goblins, spiders and pumpkins from clay. Call Kimball Art Center to sign up: 435.649.8882.

Wednesday, October 27

From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. the Kimball Art Center hosts Candy Collection Bags for youth. Participants will create a unique canvas Halloween tote bag using glitter, paint, feathers and other items to create a spooky and fun bag. Call Kimball Art Center to sign up: 435.649.8882.

Friday, October 29

Park City Mountain Resort brings the Thriller Snow Dance back to Town Lift Plaza. Costumed kids and adults can celebrate the coming winter snow by learning the dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Practice for the Thriller Snow Dance will take place at Town Lift Plaza from 3 to 5 p.m. Participants will debut their dance from 5-6 p.m. Costumes are heavily encouraged, and face painters will be available at the Plaza.
